Highlights of Annual Meeting

26  of us gathered for our 8th annual meeting held at the Squalicum Yacht club.  It was a wonderful night with good food, good people, lots of students and lots of information.  We were priveleged to have Nancy Lawton from ARNPUnited of Washington State give us a brief look at what's going on in the state and national legislature as far regulations pertaining to Nurse Practitioners.

We also awarded the Georgia Lee Nurse Practitioner of the Year for Whatcom County to Christine Anderson for her 40+ years of nursing ,13 years of work as an Electrophysiology / Cardiology NP in Bellingham , and her professional leadership in teacching and mentoring of local NPs.

We learned tidbits from each other and were encouraged that we all can learn something new, or relearn again.  And we can learn from each other.  It was great to see a handful of Students.

We voted for our 2018 Board of directors (see prior announcement).  We gave away three great door prizes, and really had a great time networking with colleagues.

Our organization is going strong, is on sound financial footing, and will continue to provide good educational information for you in the coming year. 

We look forward to seeing you all at our next educational offering on January 16th, on Soft tissue infections: treating Abcsess and Cellulitis.
